H-MOVE: Redefining safety in the era of electric and autonomous mobility
In the complex ecosystem of future mobility, the technological transition depends not only on efficient motors or advanced software but on how the human factor coexists with automation. As we move into 2026, we are proud to share the progress made in the H-MOVE project, a cutting-edge research initiative designed to make this transition safer, more sustainable, and more intelligent.
What is H-MOVE?
Formally titled INVESTIGACIÓN AVANZADA PARA LA TRANSICIÓN HUMANO-TECNOLÓGICA HACIA LA MOVILIDAD ELÉCTRICA Y AUTÓNOMA SEGURA (Advanced Research for the Human-Technological Transition towards Safe Electric and Autonomous Mobility), this project is part of the 2024 PROGRAMA MISIONES DE CIENCIA E INNOVACIÓN.
Led by NUNSYS, the consortium brings together industrial leaders such as Idneo, FICOSA, and Bledsystem, supported by the scientific expertise of renowned research centers including INTRAS, IBV, FUO, and VICOMTECH.
The technological core: Idneo’s role
Within this collaborative framework, Idneo has focused its efforts on in-vehicle intelligence. Our research highlights include:
- Next-Generation In-Cabin Systems: Developing In-Cabin Monitoring (ICM) systems using UWB (Ultra-Wideband) technology and RGB-IR cameras.
- Occupant Analytics: Extracting critical data regarding the state of the driver and passengers to proactively prevent risky situations.
- Connectivity and Fusion: Integrating these systems with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and ensuring secure data communication via Telematic Control Units (TCU).
H-MOVE is more than an engineering project; it is the bridge ensuring that, on the road to full autonomy, drivers and occupants remain more protected than ever before.
Validation in a real-world setting is coming soon. Working with a public service operator, we will assess the potential safety improvements offered by ADAS technology. ¡Stay tuned!
