RISCCOM: MULTIPURPOSE LOW-POWER SECURE RISC-V-BASED SYSTEM FOR WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS
Idneo is collaborating on the RISCCOM project to enhance the skills of the Spanish industry in silicon technology for the automotive and IoT sectors. The project uses an open-source RISC-V solution to investigate the optimization possibilities of a multipurpose, low-power, and secure RISC-V-based system for wireless communications.
Between October 2023 and September 2025, Idneo will be responsible for developing and validating a chip design that will enable short-range, high-frequency wireless communication for data exchange between devices (NFC). The objective is to further evolve the vehicle's open platform without requiring physical interaction between the driver, the key fob, or the car (PKE). This will involve acquiring knowledge of ultra-wideband (UWB) technology and the development of In-Cabin Monitoring (ICM) algorithm.
