Idneo is participating in the LTE – V2X Project which encompasses the main research areas related to the rollout of the connected vehicle via LTE technology through V2X protocol.
Along with Idneo, the LEITAT Technological Center provides a cloud environment for managing Project data. LTE-V2X is financed by ACCIÓ (Agència per la Competitivitat de l’Empresa) within a program that encompasses the most relevant aspects of smart, connected vehicles. The field is currently in an emerging stage which will allow for future improvement in features via V2X connectivity solutions.
This project is also co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of the European Union within the framework of the ERDF Operational Program of Catalonia 2014-2020.
IDNEO’S CONTRIBUTION
Idneo participates as a connectivity product developer to improve the efficiency and safety of road transportation. The LTE-V2X communications generated in this project are intended for security and solidity, offering new possibilities for interaction among vehicles and also between vehicles and infrastructure, serving as a blueprint for future applications such as autonomous driving.
